We have just one entry at Limerick on Thursday evening – Hans Crescent.

Galway starts on Monday next and we hope to have a runner in both the Plate and the Hurdle.
Dancing Tornado is being aimed at the Galway Plate on Wednesday while False Economy is entered in the Galway Hurdle on Thursday, although he will need the weights to go up in order to get in.

Recent Winners

Monday, May 9th, 2011

It has been a good week for the yard with a couple of winners.

False Economy won in Ballinrobe on Wednesday on his first run of the season. He was ridden by Ruby Walsh. He will improve again from the race and it is hoped he will develop into a Galway Hurdle prospect in time.

Lend A Hand Son won at Sligo on Sunday, also ridden by Ruby Walsh. His owners, the Golf at Balllyneety syndicate, who were delighted with the win, have been very loyal owners of the yard, having previously owned Kilbeggan Lad.

Ruby Walsh teamed up with the yard again at Limerick on Sunday, where he gave Friendly Society a fantastic ride to win by 2 1/2L.. His owner, Virginia Lady Petersham, who is a great supporter of racing, was present to witness her winner and was delighted.

At the local Stonehall point to point on Sunday, Whats Happening was a good winner of the 4 year old maiden on his second start. He looks a nice prospect for next season.

All horses returned from the Easter Racing Festivals in good health, and A New Story – who was 5th in the Irish National, having his 6th run in the race- will now go to France in June for a Cross Country Race.

Also, best wishes to our jockey, Adrian Heskin who will be out for a couple of weeks after a fall in Fairyhouse over Easter.

Cheltenham and Sandown

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011
All horses are back from Cheltenham- A New Story put in a great performance and finished 3rd in the Cross Country beaten only 2 1/2L.  Mr Cracker ran well and will be back to Cheltenham again in the future.
In the charity race, Warcraft also ran well – he finished 6th.

It was a great week for the Irish horses, and particularly for Michael O Leary who is also a great owner of ours.

Beef Or Salmon enjoyed his trip to England where he paraded at Sandown and Cheltenham.

Racing this week is at Thurles on Thursday where we have a few entries.

Updates from Naas and Beef Or Salmon on parade

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Beef Or Salmon has left for Sandown where he will be parading on Saturday ahead of the parade at Cheltenham on Tuesday.

A New Story put in a pleasing performance at Naas on Sunday when he finished 3rd over hurdles. He was ridden by Conor Ring. A New Story runs in the cross country chase at Cheltenham on Tuesday – the race which he won last year. Interestingly, he went on to win the race last year having come from finishing 3rd in the exact same race at Naas and was ridden by Conor again there!! Maybe its a sign…?!!

False Messenger was a good winner at Naas yesterday (Wednesday). It was her third win for her owners, the Fools on Stools syndicate, who have been loyal owners for many years. She was ridden by Adrian Heskin who is also Cheltenham bound next week!

Beef Or Salmon on Parade

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

Beef Or Salmon has got a busy few days ahead of him as he is parading at Sandown and Cheltenham. He will be parading at Sandown on Imperial Cup Day (Saturday 12 March) then he will parade at Cheltenham on Champion Hurdle Day (Tuesday), both parades are being organised by the Retraining of Racehorse Association.

Beef Or Salmon is a regular at the shows and last year he finished 4th at the RDS and will be going back again this year to hopefully improve on last years finishing position.
